Once again, the family gathers for a birthday party. This time for our precious baby boy who turned 1 on Friday. We fixed fish and grits, which are two of his favorite dishes.

He didn't eat too much of his cake, but enjoyed playing with the truck on top of it.

And we're not quite sure who was more excited about the presents....Josie or Wes. Josie was pretty good about letting Wes open gifts, but we had to open most of them because Wes got pretty occupied with his tractor.

Here we have the tractor in the Tonka truck. For a boy, it doesn't get much better, ya know?

Once again, Dave cooked a splendid meal and everyone's company was great! I think it makes everyone feel like a kid again to open toys and show the babies how to play with them. Wesley enjoyed his birthday party, but after it was over, all 4 of us fell asleep on the couch for 2 hours.
