This spring, we finally convinced Daddy that there was more to this "farming thing" than having a garden and playing on tractors. So, we started building...a chicken coop!
Since March, Josie has been faithful in helping me feed/water/throw snacks to our beautiful flock (we have 11 ladies, and 1 gentlemen).
And finally yesterday, there it was...as I was throwing them some scratch, I looked over into the nest boxes and saw our first prize...a beautiful brown egg.
We love our ladies so much...they really are fun pets, but the fact that they produce food for us, makes them almost addictive.
