There's a boat parade on the lake. Everyone dresses up their boats and they parade them from Bomb Island (where they practiced bombing during WWII) to the dam.
Erica and Matt brought Houston for his first boat ride.
And Bob and Pops watched from their boat.
There were some outrageously crazy entries this year. What fun!
Then we tied up next to Erica and Matt and some of their friends to enjoy the lake for a while. Wes and Josie took turn driving the boats.
By they way, how ADORABLE is Josie's July 4th get up?
Then we made our way in to take baths and get ready for a fish fry with Mr. Kevin (who works with Daddy). He very possibly fries the best fish in SC. While there we met up with our friend Karli. She used to live next to us at our old house and Josie and Karli were forced to be friends when they were first born. We haven't seen them in a while, but by the way Josie and Karli played, its obvious that we'll be seeing them much more often (both girls have already requested "spend the night parties"). 
And with all of that in one day, its hard not to be pooped....
We certainly enjoyed our start to a wonderful 4th of July holiday. We hope everyone is celebrating their freedom. Happy 4th!
