Edisto Beach

Edisto Beach has a special place in my heart. It's one of my favorite places in the world. And I'm happy to see that my family enjoys it as much as I do.

We spent a glorious 5 days there this past week. We woke up early in the morning (as babies have no concept of "sleeping in") and would do some sort of physical activity. One morning we rode bikes. One morning we walked to the playground. This was to offset the "eating like kings" attitude we took the rest of the day.

Then, we would make our way to either the beach or the pool. The babies LOVED the beach. They would run around at the water, dig in the sand, build a castle then knock it down, and chase birds. There wasn't anything that they didn't like about the beach.
Josie wanted us to take her in the water and "let her do it herself" (swim that is).
Wes would sit under the tent and eat sandy Nilla Wafers.
They took a couple of good naps in the ocean air, but most of the time was spent playing. And boy did we enjoy it!

The adults had their fun too. Drinks were consumed and sun was absorbed (except for Pops that only came out from under his umbrella for a quick dip in the water with Josie).

We couldn't have asked for better weather and better company. Edisto Beach has always held a dear place in my heart, but now seeing how much the babies enjoy it makes it even more special.
