Pa's work buddies stopped by to see him Friday afternoon and gave him a basket of freshly picked strawberries. Trouble is, Pa doesn't like strawberries fresh....he likes them made into jam. So, the first canning of the season began.
Josie, of course, would rather eat the strawberries fresh....
Then, what better to go with homemade strawberry jam than homemade biscuits. The babies mostly like playing in the flour, but Josie did cut all the biscuits.....
while Wes patted them on the pan.....
And then they both hung out in front of the oven for the next 15 minutes.
The monkeys tend to eat a lot better when they are involved in the food preparation. We ate some of the products for dinner last night and the rest will go to Pa today for him to enjoy. Mmmmmm.....
